Virginia Commerce Bancorp, Inc., the parent holding company of Virginia Commerce Bank, announced the recent appointment of Todd A. Stottlemyer to the Board of Directors for both the holding company and the Bank. Stottlemyer is the Executive Vice President and Chief Corporate Services Officer for the Inova Health System.
“Todd will be a valuable addition to our Board,” said W. Douglas Fisher, Chairman of the Board of the holding company and the Bank. “His broad leadership background will complement the Board’s experience, and his dedication to our community aligns seamlessly with our philosophy. We are excited to have him join us as a Director.”
Mr. Stottlemyer co-founded and served as CEO and member of the Board of Directors of Apogen Technologies, Inc., an information technology company with clients that included the U.S. Departments of Homeland Security and Defense. He served as President and CEO of the National Federation of Independent Business, the nation’s largest business association representing small and independent business owners across the United States. He also served as Executive Vice
President and Chief Financial Officer for BTG, Inc. and as Corporate Vice President for BDM International, Inc.
Stottlemyer remains active in civic and community organizations. He is a Board member of the Thomas Jefferson Institute for Public Policy and the College of William and Mary Athletic Endowment Foundation. He is also Chairman of the Board of Helping Children Worldwide, Inc., a non-profit organization, and is on the Board of the Inova Health System Foundation.
His previous civic and community activities include serving as Chairman of the Board of the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce, as Vice Chairman of the Northern Virginia Technology Council and as Vice Chairman of the National Capital Region American Red Cross.

Mr. Stottlemyer earned his BA from the College of William and Mary (Phi Beta Kappa) and his JD from the Georgetown University Law Center. He resides with his family in Oak Hill.
