The TC Williams Science Bowl club competed this past weekend at the Virginia Regional High School Science Bowl event. The annual challenge is sponsored by the US Department of Energy and is held at the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility in Newport News.
Coach Chris Rupert commented, “I’m extremely proud of these students, who have worked hard over the past three years. They have represented ACPS well in events with other schools and have demonstrated a strong foundation in both mathematics and science. They have promising futures ahead of them,” said Coach Chris Rupert .
Going up against experienced competition, the team of Ali Sue Patterson, Alpha Kaloko, Marifer Cruz, Shahin Yavari, and Chris Aplin finished strong in the overall round robin competition and placed 2nd in the bridge building engineering activity.
