The Alexandria Police Department is asking for help in identifying two suspects wanted in a robbery that occurred in the 200 block of South Royal Street. On January 11, at around 7:30 p.m., a 29-year-old woman was walking home from work, when she was approached by two suspects. The suspects pushed her up against a wall, knocked her down and took her purse and lunchbox. The suspects then fled the area. The victim sustained minor injuries.
The suspects in the robbery are described as black, with a light complexion, and both were wearing dark clothing. The next day, January 12, the victim’s credit cards were used by a man and a woman in a store in Maryland. The pictures of the suspects in the store were caught on a video surveillance camera.
