Kilby, Marcus Get Top Scholastic Honors

Matt Kilby and Abby Marcus are the 2010 valedictorian and salutatorian at T.C. Williams High School. Kilby will attend the U.S. Naval Academy and Marcus will study at Rice University in the fall.
“It’s always very hard to select a valedictorian and salutatorian because grade point averages are very close. This year was no exception,” said T.C. Principal Bill Clendaniel at last night’s academic awards ceremony.
Kilby also received the Robert E. Meisky Male Athlete of the Year Award. He was an outstanding baseball player at T.C. and an active participant in community service. He will play baseball for Navy next year.

Shenandoah Raycroft received the Robert S. Rixse Female Athlete of the Year Award. She was a member of the cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field teams at T.C. She will attend The College of William and Mary next year.
