The ServiceSource Network has announced that its President and CEO, Janet Samuelson, has received a Washington SmartCEO 2010 BRAVA! Women Business Achievement Award. The award recognizes 25 female CEOs making unprecedented strides in business, building a stronger community both financially, philanthropically and most importantly, through leadership.

The 2010 awardees will join past BRAVA! recipients to form the BRAVA! 100. This will be an elite group of the first 100 female entrepreneurs recognized in the program. The 25 award recipients of the fourth annual BRAVA! Awards will be celebrated at SmartCEO’s BRAVA! Awards event on Wednesday, July 21, 2010, from 6:00-8:30p.m. at The Sphinx Club at Franklin Square, 1315 K St. NW, Washington, DC 20005.

The ServiceSource Network is an affiliation of five independent 501c(3) non-profit organizations: ServiceSource, headquartered in Alexandria, VA; OCI, headquartered in Wilmington, DE; Employment Source, headquartered in Fayetteville, NC; Abilities of Florida, headquartered in Clearwater, FL; and Central Fairfax Services, headquartered in Springfield, VA. Combining national expertise with local experience, the ServiceSource Network directly employs more than 1,400 individuals with disabilities in nine states and the District of Columbia, and provides employment, training, rehabilitation and support services to more than 11,000 individuals annually.

The BRAVA! winners are profiled in the July issue of SmartCEO, which is read by more than 30,000 business owners in the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan area. Each winner is also featured in the digital edition of the magazine. The winners are selected by an independent panel of business leaders.

“I am honored to be recognized with this award, and see it as a testament to the level of commitment and pride each program participant, employee, Board member and community partner across the ServiceSource Network brings to work every day,” said Janet Samuelson, President and CEO of the ServiceSource Network.

This year’s winners lead 15,956 individuals, generate $910 million in revenue, and support more than 120 nonprofit organizations and charities across the Greater Washington region.

“BRAVA! Women Business Achievement award recipients are not only selected and honored for their success in growing a company, but also for demonstrating leadership throughout the Greater Washington community. This unique combination of attributes is fit to be admired by any CEO. We are honored to recognize Janet Samuelson as one of Greater Baltimore’s most influential leaders,” said Jaime Park, publisher of Washington SmartCEO.
