Sheriff’s Sergeant-Designate Honored By Jaycees

Alexandria Sheriff’s Sergeant-Designate Felicia Mensah, a seven-year veteran, received the William G. Truesdale Award during the March 18 Alexandria Jaycees annual award program at City Hall.  City Manager Jim Hartmann  spoke during the event as did Sheriff Dana Lawhorne .  Deputy City Manager Michele Evans was also present.   The Truesdale Award honors Sergeant Mensah for her contributions to Alexandria with a clothing drive for Carpenter’s Shelter, the annual Susan G, Komen annual breast cancer walk and as a dedicated and committed member of the Sheriff’s Office.  Her promotion to sergeant will be April 3.  The award is named for the late Alexandria deputy who was killed in the line of duty.
