Titan Roundup

 The T. C. Williams High School golf team concluded the 2011 season last week with the Patriot District tournament but the season continues for other sports. Here’s how they all did last week.

 Field Hockey

 On Sept. 20, the T. C. field hockey team faced Woodson High School and lost, 2-0. Two days later, the girls had a more successful outing against Edison, winning, 3-1. T. C. faced Patriot District rival Lake Braddock on Monday night and lost, 1-0.

 The Titans are now 7-5-1 overall,  1-3 in Patriot District competition. T. C.’s next game is at home against South County on Sept. 30, at 7:30 p.m.

 Football

 The Titans traveled to South County last Friday night for their first Patriot District game. Although T. C. started strong once again, they lost, 35-13.

 The Titans are 1-3 overall, 0-1 in Patriot District competition.  T. C. will host Lake Braddock on Saturday, Oct. 1, at 3:30 p.m.

 Volleyball

 The Titans played Yorktown High School on Sept. 19 and lost, 3-0. Two days later, they played Mt. Vernon and won, 3-0.

On Sept. 24, T. C. hosted the first Titan Clash. The girls played four games, losing to Fairfax High School, 0-2; Broad Run, 0-2; Chantilly, 1-2 and McLean, 0-2. On Monday, the girls lost to Patriot District rival Woodson, 2-3.

 The Titans are 4-9, 0-1 in Patriot District play. The girls will travel to West Springfield on Oct. 3, for another Patriot District match. Game time is 7:15 p.m.
