Three Bishop Ireton seniors signed national letters of intent Wednesday during the NCAA’s early signing period, committing to play lacrosse for a pair of Division I programs and one DII program. Over the past four years, more than a dozen BI girls’ lacrosse players have signed to play college sports.

The Old Dominion Boat Club Select Crew Team wrapped up its 2011 Fall rowing season this past Tuesday with a recognition dinner at the Old Dominion Boat Club in Old Town. Athletes were treated to a BBQ dinner, a celebratory cake, and presented with pins to recognize them for their efforts this Fall.
Shannon Smythe was the sole runner from T.C. Williams to qualify for the VHSL State Cross Country Championship, which was held on Saturday at Great Meadows (The Plains). By definition, the state championship includes the best of the best.
Senior Shannon Smythe was firing on all cylinders Thursday finishing in 15th place at the Northern Region cross country championship at Burke Lake Park.
T. C. Williams High School celebrated homecoming on Saturday in the rain, sleet and snow. The game ended as dismally as the weather, with the Titans losing to Robert E. Lee High school, 17-10.
T.C. Williams was one of eight schools competing in the Patriot District Cross Country Championship held at Burke Lake Park on October 26. T.C. was up against some of the best runners in the state in one of the most competitive districts in the region.

Fresh off their appearance this past weekend at the world’s largest two day rowing event, the Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston, the men and women of the Old Dominion Boat Club Select Crew team journey north again this Sunday to compete in the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta in Philadelphia. The Men’s Youth 4 race first at 9:40 am, followed 20 minutes later by the Women’s Youth 4, who race at 10:00 am.
The T. C. Williams High School freshman volleyball team ended the 2011 season undefeated, 15-0, losing only one set the entire year.
When the T. C. Williams High School junior varsity football team took the field this year, the kicker wore a pink mouth guard. When Brianna Smith kicked the ball, however, she was just one of the boys.
