Alexandria Juvenile Court Receptionist

520 King Street, Alexandria, VA 22314.  The court office provides services to delinquent or runaway youth and their families, including probation, case management, counseling and crime-prevention programs. Friendly, reliable and patient volunteer receptionists are needed for weekly 4-hour shifts to greet clients, answer phones and provide light clerical support. Must be at least 21, seniors are welcome. No experience necessary - training includes full overview of phone system, our agency, community programs & services, and effective customer service strategies. Office hours 8am-4pm. Upcoming show "Red Carpet Pops!" will be performed on Friday, June 8, 2012 at 7:30 pm and Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 2:00 and 7:30 pm.

Alexandria Symphony Orchestra Children's Arts Festival Event Volunteers, Sunday, May 20

Volunteers help set up, run, and strike this fun-filled afternoon event including orchestra concerts, arts & crafts activities, reading centers, yoga for kids, Planetarium showings, and even improv theater activities. Over 200 families are expected to attend between 2pm-4pm, volunteer hours are from 12:30-4:30. Great for groups!

Arts Are For All Ages Event Volunteers, May 26

Volunteers needed for upcoming End-of-Season Performance and Recognition Fundraising event held at Alexandria’s Fountains at Washington House. The Arts Are For All Ages group uses talented young musicians to help bridge the gap between generations through performances at area retirement homes and assisted living facilities. Volunteers assist by sitting at tables and serving light refreshments. Friends of Guest House Mentor Training, May 19
