Brandywine Senior Living is breaking ground in the Cameron Park Development in Alexandria, Virginia, the first of five senior living communities planned in the Washington metropolitan area. The community will consist of 116 suites on six stories with ground floor retail designed to complement the vibrant and active lifestyle of the surrounding area.
Brenda J. Bacon, President and Chief Executive Officer of Brandywine and a Maryland native, said she is delighted to bring their award-winning programs and residences to Virginia.
“We selected the new and vibrant Cameron Park development so our residents will be part of a growing and exciting community,” said Bacon. “There are so many families in the Alexandria and Northern Virginia area who want a quality experience for their parents close to where they live and work.”
The Brandywine residence will be a part of the JBG Company’s 722,000-square-foot Cameron Park development on Alexandria's West End, located south of South Pickett Street and east of Cameron Station Boulevard. The development also features 66 townhomes to be developed by Pulte and roughly 300 multifamily units.
In addition to the 116 suites, the Brandywine community will feature interior and exterior courtyards, therapy pool and gym, beauty salon, movie theatre, pub, outdoor patios, private dining rooms, and many other building features designed to enhance the quality of the resident experience. The suites will consist of studios and one- and two-bedrooms with luxury amenities. The décor will blend elegance and comfort to make the surroundings inviting and warm for everyone who chooses to call Brandywine Senior Living at Alexandria their home.
