Awards At Fiesta-val

The T. C. Williams Advanced Choir traveled to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina last weekend to participate in Fiesta-val. They came home with a number of awards.

Feista-val is a music competition, which is open to middle and high school instrumental and choral groups. Three qualified judges rank the groups and present awards at the end of the competition.  The 52-member T. C. Advanced Choir won a First Place Superior Award and were named Overall Choral Champions. The Colore Dolce Treble Choir also won a First Place Superior Award and were named Overall Champions in their category. 

Soloist Sara Goleman-Mercer won a Special Award.  T. C. Choir Director Theodore Thorpe, III Distinguished Musician Award for Commitment to Musical Excellence.

The T.C. Choir will hold their final performance of the school year on June 15, at 7:30 p.m. in the T. C. Williams auditorium. The public is invited.
