On Tuesday night, March 14, Prathik Naidu, 18, Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology  won seventh place and $70,000 in the Regeneron Science Talent Search 2017, the nation’s oldest and most prestigious science and math competition for high school seniors, founded and produced by Society for Science & the Public

Prathik created a new machine learning software to study 3D interactions of the human genome in cancer. He also started The Classics Project, an initiative that holds reading groups for military veterans to explore the present-day relevance of classic war texts, such as Homer’s Odyssey
