Hurricane Irma was the second major storm to impact the continental United States in just two weeks. While those in Texas and Louisiana continue to address the recovery from Harvey, Irma has left a trail of devastation in the Caribbean and Florida and is currently spreading heavy rains in Georgia, Alabama, the Carolinas, Tennessee and Missouri. Many of you provided support for victims of Harvey through ACT to the Greater Houston Community Foundation’s hurricane relief fund as working through a community foundation is one of the best ways to address longer term needs in communities impacted by disasters such as Harvey.

Similar opportunities are available for those wishing to assist in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma with a number of credible hurricane assistance/relief/recovery funds established in Florida and the Caribbean.
