Winter sports at T. C. Williams High School are drawing to a close. Sports include basketball, gymnastics, indoor track & field, swim & dive, and wrestling. A summary follows of contests during the week of Jan. 30 – Feb. 4.

The T. C. Williams gymnastics team competed in the Patriot Conference Championship at West Potomac on Feb. 2. The team included senior Cailyn Lager, junior Schyler Vander Schaaf, sophomore Isabel Frye and sophomore Leslie Lytle. Lager earned All-Conference honors and qualified for the regional championship in all four events: fourth place on beam and vault, fifth on floor and sixth place on bars. She also qualified for the all-around competition based on total points earned (35.425). Lager, who was not overly pleased with her performance last week, hopes to peak when she competes in the 6A North Region Championship at Patriot High School on Feb. 11.
