Mark Ackermann, president of Weichert, Realtors’ Capital Region, announced that William Wiard of Weichert’s Alexandria/Old Town office was named Manager of the Year in 2017. This award recognizes one manager from Weichert’s offices in Arlington, Fairfax, Fauquier, Loudoun, Orange, Prince William and Warren counties who has demonstrated exceptional management skills and has led his or her office to outstanding performance during the year.

“I am pleased to honor Will for his management ability and success,” Ackermann said “Will is a dedicated leader who produces tangible results by implementing a professional, client-focused approach that helps his sales associates increase their productivity, expand their business and reach their goals.”

A veteran of the real estate industry since 2005, Wiard was named a Top-Producing Agent by Washingtonianmagazine in 2015. Most recently, he was named to the REALTOR® Magazine 30 Under 30 class of 2017 in recognition of his dedication to his real estate career. Wiard sits on the Board of Directors of Virginia REALTORS and is actively involved with the Young Professionals Network at the state and local level.

A graduate of George Mason University, Wiard received his degree in art and visual technology with a minor in business administration. Wiard resides in Arlington, Va.
