Catch on the Ave (2419 Mount Vernon Avenue), the third restaurant of Common Plate Hospitality, is opening in Del Ray on Wednesday, Dec. 19. The casual, seafood restaurant under Chef Eric Reid (formerly of Reserve, now head chef at Augie’s Mussel House) takes over the space previously occupied by Caboose and more recently by Snack Bar.

With influences from East Asia and Southeast Asia, the seasonal menu and innovative cocktails will provide a unique dining option for the Del Ray community. Locally sourced ingredients are the foundation of their menu. In addition to lunch, dinner and brunch menus, Catch on the Ave offers a “Build Your Own Bento” kid’s menu.

Catch on the Ave will be open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to midnight and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to midnight.

About Common Plate Hospitality
Friends and brothers Chad Sparrow, Justin Sparrow, and Larry Walston launched Mason Social in 2015, a contemporary American restaurant in their hometown of Alexandria, VA.  After much success, the group decided to expand in 2018 with Augie’s Mussel House and Catch On The Ave plus the forthcoming Mexican restaurant Urbano 116. Common Plate Hospitality offers upscale food and beverages in casual, neighborhood-centric restaurants.
