The day was packed with competitions, interviews, judging, scouting reports, helping other teams, collaboration, and fixing their robots. During the competition, teams were judged based upon robot design, robot performance, an interview, strategy of play, functionality, efficiency and creativity of the robot design, and thoroughness of the engineering notebook.

Team Thunderstone was part of the winning alliance and received the second place Think Award (given to the team that best reflects the journey the team took as they experienced the engineering design process during the build season) and the second place Innovate Award (given to the team that has the most innovative and creative robot design solution to the field elements). In addition, team Iron Giants won the first place Think Award.
