In November, City Council directed the City Manager to develop a plan, through a public process in coordination with stakeholders, that seeks to preserve the Torpedo Factory Art Center as a keystone community cultural asset. The Council-approved recommendations include the development of a vibrancy and sustainability plan, recognition of the need for substantial capital funding for facility improvements and future program needs, and affirmation that the City’s Office of the Arts will continue as the long-term managing entity for operations.
