Just what is Mrs. Ignacio's new responsibility within the school system? I am unclear how this new administrative position is in keeping with what the Superintendent prided himself on a few years ago.

The Alexandria Republican Committee CHOSE not to run opposing candidates against Delegates Charniele Herring and David Englin. This was by design, to suppress voter turnout. In fact, Republican State Senate Candidate Tim McGhee told me himself that is receiving NO HELP from the Alexandria Republican Committee. They didn't want a candidate opposing Adam Ebbin because, again, they are hoping that Democrats won't feel the need to vote, thus letting Republicans put an unqualified, neophyte ideologue in the Clerk's office.

What else could $72,000 provide within Alexandria City Public Schools? How about one or two additional special education teachers to meet the needs of Alexandria's special education students? Or 3-4 paraprofessionals to assist in the classrooms most in need of additional adult support?

Another summer, another ACPS Central Office Organizational chart. First it was a flow chart, now it is something resembling the recycling symbol on our big blue plastic bins.
