Alexandria General Assembly Delegation To Hold Public Hearing

November 13, 2018

Members of the Virginia General Assembly will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, Nov. 20, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., in the City Council Chamber at Alexandria City Hall. Senators George Barker and Adam Ebbin and Delegates Charniele Herring and Mark Levine will seek community input prior to the 2019 General Assembly session, which begins in January.

Project Discovery Meet-and-Greet For ACPS Students, Parents

The Project Discovery of Alexandria Advisory Board is hosting a meet-and-greet event on Saturday, Nov. 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. at 1900 N. Beauregard Street, Alexandria. The event is an opportunity for Alexandria City Public School students between 9th and 12th grade and their parents, to learn how the Project Discovery of Alexandria Club can prepare students for secondary education.

43rd Annual Alexandria Turkey Trot

A Thanksgiving morning tradition, the 43rd annual Alexandria Turkey Trot will take place on Thursday, Nov. 22 at 9 a.m. This fast, flat, USATF-certified five-mile course through the heart of Del Ray is the DC area’s premiere Turkey Trot. Donations of food items and/or cash support ALIVE!, a nonprofit organization serving Alexandria’s needy.
