Virginia Legislators Urge Trump To Request Information On Journalist’s Disappearance

Mark Warner (D-VA), joined by 20 of their colleagues, sent a bipartisan, bicameral letter urging President Trump to raise Jamal Khashoggi’s disappearance with the governments of Saudi Arabia and Turkey. Khashoggi, a Virginia resident and distinguished journalist, has been missing since Oct. 2.

Virginia To Receive More Than $6 Million To Combat Opioid Crisis

Warner and Tim Kaine (both D-VA) announced that Virginia will receive $6,349,505 in federal funds from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to combat the opioid epidemic. The funds will help Virginia communities expand access to quality substance use disorder and mental health services. Alexandria’s Neighborhood Health was granted $285,000.
