King Street-Old Town Metrorail Station Access Improvement Project Update: Lot Scheduled To Close November 18

November 13, 2018

Major work on the King Street-Old Town Metrorail Station Access Improvement Project has been moved to mid-November. Preliminary construction including the construction of interim bus bays began in August. The major construction activities initially scheduled to start on Sept. 9, including the closure of the bus loop and Kiss & Ride and initiating bus service to the relocated bus bays, are now slated to begin on Nov. 18.

Arlington County Issues Bridge Restrictions On West Glebe Road

AAA: More Than 54 Million Americans To Travel This Thanksgiving, The Most Since 2005

A total of 54.3 million Americans will journey 50 miles or more away from home this Thanksgiving, AAA is forecasting. This represents a 4.8 percent increase over last year. The 2018 holiday weekend will see the highest Thanksgiving travel volume in more than a dozen years (since 2005), with 2.5 million more people taking to the nation’s roads, skies, rails and waterways compared with last year.
