Alexandria Renew CEO Elected As Leader Of National Association Of Clean Water Agencies

Alexandria Renew Enterprises Chief Executive Officer Karen L. Pallansch has been elected as President of the National Association of Clean Water Agencies. Made up of publicly- owned wastewater treatment agencies, wastewater collection systems, stormwater management agencies and affiliate members, NACWA is the nationally recognized leader and advocate for responsible national policies that advance clean water and a healthy and vibrant ecosystem.

Ms. Pallansch will continue to serve as Alexandria Renew CEO during her tenure as President of NACWA. Alexandria Renew is the former Alexandria Sanitation Authority.

“It is a great honor and privilege to be elected by my industry peers and colleagues as President of NACWA,” said Ms. Pallansch. “Alexandria Renew and before it, ASA, have been deeply involved in NACWA’s critical environmental mission to improve all facets of water quality protection, whether you live here in the Commonwealth or Colorado. Its collaborative, watershed management approach to improving the quality of our nation’s waters has proven to be highly effective and I look forward to helping build on those successes that benefit the environment and help our economy grown and thrive,” she said.

In remarks published in the Congressional Record, Congressman Jim Moran commented, “Let me congratulate Karen Pallansch on her election as President of NACWA. As with Alexandria Renew Enterprises, I am sure she will lead the organization down a road marked by innovation, collaboration, progress and success. I wish her and NACWA the very best in their future endeavors.”
