The City of Alexandria Department of Transportation & Environmental Services has recently been awarded a second prestigious American Public Works Association Re-Accreditation. The APWA Accreditation program recognizes public works agencies that go beyond the requirements of the management practices established nationally in the public works industry, as contained in the APWA Public Works Management Practices Manual. The City of Alexandria agency received its original APWA Accreditation Feb. 28, 2006, and received their second Re-Accreditation Aug. 7, 2014.
