On Wednesday, Dec. 3, from 6-8:00 p.m., the City will host a Waterfront Community Open House at the Lee Center, 1108 Jefferson Street, Alexandria, VA  22314.  The public and all stakeholders are invited to attend. The Open House will be organized to include the following:

(1)   A Program to review draft proposed phasing options for Waterfront Implementation and to provide the community with an opportunity to express their priorities for implementation; and

(2)   Exhibitor tables, accessible prior to and after the Program, to provide the public with up-to-date information regarding public initiatives and private development projects planned at the Waterfront.

As background, on June 14, 2014, the City Council approved the Phase I Waterfront Landscape and Flood Mitigation Schematic Design.  As part of the approval process, the Mayor and City Council requested staff to return with a Phasing and Funding Plan.  For more information about the Waterfront Implementation process, in general, please link to the City’s Waterfront http://www.alexandriava.gov/Waterfront
