Families To Celebrate Chanukah On Ice At Pentagon Row Ice Rink

Parents…if you are looking for a unique way to entertain your children as we prepare for the Chanukah season, what could be more delightful than a combination of sparkling ice and a sparkling Menorah? On Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014, from 6:00-8:30 p.m.  Many children and adults from the Alexandria-Arlington area will converge on the area’s ultimate celebration of Chanukah - “Chanukah On Ice.”

Celebrate the exciting holiday of Chanukah, grab your ice skates, the kids, and your camera, and head out to Chanukah on Ice at Pentagon Row Ice Skating in Arlington, for a family event you will not want to miss. Our program will begin with open skating where children and adults can ice skate to contemporary Jewish music and classic Chanukah songs. It will continue with a lighting ceremony, greetings from local dignitaries, delicious Kosher food, Chanukah songs and a free raffle.

"It is a holiday that enriches our lives with the light of tradition" said Rabbi Mordechai Newman, Director of Chabad Lubavitch of Alexandria-Arlington and coordinator of Chanukah On Ice.  “We want to make the spirit of the Chanukah holiday alive for the kids,”
