House Democratic Caucus Calls For Delegate Morrissey’s Resignation

The Virginia House Democratic Caucus voted Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, to call for Delegate Joseph Morrissey's (D – Henrico) immediate resignation, stating that they are actively exploring all available options to take action if he does not resign.

"The General Assembly should reflect the best of Virginia," said Delegate Rob Krupicka (D – Alexandria), "Mr. Morrissey's conviction for acts related to his improper relationship with a minor bring discredit to the legislature. I encourage Mr. Morrissey to resign immediately and I am encouraging my House colleagues to consider all options for his removal from the House and the Democratic Caucus if he does not resign."
