SCAN’s Third Annual “Speak Up!” Training For Virginia Advocates

Cost for the training is $20, which includes a boxed lunch

  • LEGISLATIVE UPDATES FROM LOCAL LEGISLATORS including Senator George Barker, Senator Barbara Favola, Delegate Patrick Hope, Delegate Alfonso Lopez, Delegate Dave Albo and Delegate Charniele Herring.

SCAN and Prevent Child Abuse Virginia will host this all-day advocacy training for individuals interested in the legislative process and how they can be more effective advocates for children and families in their community. During the policy briefing, special guests from Voices for Adoption and Youth for Tomorrow will give important overviews of current issues being addressed in the General Assembly, including Foster Care and Adoption, Mental Health Resources for Virginia’s Youth and Human Trafficking.
